QuiltCon 2025 Phoenix, AZ - Arizona Trip Day 4
The next morning, we woke up and went back to the Grand Canyon.
We took the whole day to explore. First, we went to the Desert View Watchtower. The Watchtower isn’t always open, but it was staffed that day so we were able to climb up and see all of the art inside and the views of the surrounding Canyon. The inside was so neat and the views were unmatched!
I was too busy taking it all in to remember to grab photos for most of the trip. After going in the Watchtower, we walked the rim trail and took in more of the Canyon views! We also went inside the Geology Museum.
We stayed to see another breathtaking sunset, and were treated to another gorgeous display that painted the sky with vibrant colors! After the sun dipped below the horizon, we lingered a little longer to see the stars slowly emerge one by one. There’s no ambient light in the Canyon, which makes the stars shine in their full glory. Unfortunately, pictures just can't capture the full beauty and vastness of the stars.
A huge thanks goes out to my Uncle for telling us to stay and see the stars come out!!
